Lotrisone (Clotrimazole and Betamethasone)

Drug Uses

Lotrisone is used for the treatment of local fungal infections with tinea pedis ("athlete's foot"), tinea cruris ("jock itch"), or tinea corporis. Infections that are treated with the combination product, Lotrisone, have a better response than patients treated with either betamethasone dipropionate or clotrimazole alone.

How Taken

Lotrisone cream is applied gently to the affected and surrounding skin areas, generally twice daily, morning and evening.

Drug Class and Mechanism

Lotrisone is a combination cream consisting of an anti-fungal medication, clotrimazole, and an anti-inflammatory medication, betamethasone dipropionate. For treating fungal infections it is used topically on the skin, inserted vaginally or allowed to dissolve in the mouth.

Missed Dose

Phentermine is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine. It is also known as an "anorectic" or "anorexigenic" drug. Phentermine stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.

Storage

Cream should be kept between 20 and 30 degrees C (36-86 degrees F).

Warnings/Precautions
